Timezappy is a time-tracking and automated invoicing platform for independent consultants and contractors. Log your hours, set up your clients, and the system generates and delivers professional PDF invoices on your schedule (weekly, semi-monthly, or monthly).

Why I Built This
As an independent consultant, I needed something simple: log hours, send invoices, get paid. Most invoicing tools are bloated with features solo operators don’t need, or they charge too much for basics. I wanted something that does three things well and nothing else, and I wanted it to cost less than a coffee.
I also wanted features I didn’t see anywhere else, like emailing your client what you accomplished the moment you log the time, or giving them a link to see exactly what they’re being billed for.
Timezappy is the tool I built for myself and opened up to others in the same boat.

The Features I’m Proudest Of
Work log emails. When you log your time, you can record what you actually accomplished and have TimeZappy email it to your client right then. The client stays in the loop as the work happens, not three weeks later when the invoice lands, and the system remembers each client’s recipients, so keeping them posted is one checkbox instead of a chore.
The invoice detail link. Every invoice email can include a link your client can click to see exactly what was accomplished during that billing period: the dates, the work, and the hours, with no login required and no dollar amounts exposed. Only one link is active per client at a time, and sending the next invoice expires the previous one, so stale links never float around.

- Gap Protection: Changing a client’s billing frequency never strands un-invoiced time; the system detects the gap and generates a catch-up invoice to cover it.
- Client Management: Per-client hourly rates, invoice frequencies, line item format preferences, and payment terms
- Organization Setup: Company details, logo upload, and encrypted bank information for invoice branding
